ANOTW YouTube playlist #3: The ‘80s

#TBT! The third in my series of decade-centric YouTube book playlists for Any Night of the Week is now up, this time covering the Deep Cuts & Classic Clips of the 1980s in Toronto.

The Eighties were about much more than just swoopy hair - though some amazing futuristic fashion did emerge when people realized it was less than 20 years until (gasp!) The Year 2000. Besides synth-driven new wave, Toronto had vibrant reggae, hardcore and post-punk scenes in the early '80s. Later on in the decade, roots rock dominated the Queen West scene, while Canadian hip-hop was born up at Ron Nelson's legendary parties at the Concert Hall, north of Yonge & Bloor.

Switch off the Retro '80s station and put this 48 song playlist up on the big screen at your quarantine party this weekend... or make it your soundtrack to reading Any Night of the Week!
