I’m thrilled to announce that thanks to the good people of TIFA - the Toronto International Festival of Authors - Any Night of the Week is now a podcast as well as a book! Any Night of the Week: A Walking History of Toronto Music premieres this Friday (Oct. 23) as part of TIFA, and as the title suggests, it’s a virtual walking tour of the venues and neighbourhoods that made up our city’s musical history over the decades.

Hosted and co-produced by yours truly, these five episodes are part podcast, part audio book, including interview clips from the likes of Maestro Fresh Wes, Martha & the Muffins, and Broken Social Scene, and original music cues created by my co-producer Al Mousseau, with guest horn players Rebecca Hennessy and Alison Young.

Episode 1, which takes the listener on a walk along Yonge Street from Queen all the way to Davenport, premieres on Friday, with new episodes streaming every other day after that. Stay tuned to the TIFA site for more info on how to listen.
